Early to Rise

Date:9/24/08
Time:11:15pm
Place:My room

Getting up early always stinks.  The first time you hear that alarm clock you feel like the world has stopped.  The feeling of going back to sleep in so close, yet you know you have to get up right at that moment other wise there will be consiquences.  After you get up you have no clue what to do with yourself because you feel all messed up and out of wack.  You could still feel the tingly feeling in you feet telling you to go back to sleep.  But, you fight through it and stretch, until your eyes realize that it's daylight out.  The question of going back to sleep always come back to you.  In your mind, you are programed to know when to get up; it's not just alarm clocks that wake you up.  When you are used to getting up at the same time for a year straight you body is trained to get up at that time.  Believe it or not, you can wake up when ever you want to, as long as it suits your schedule.  I know people who have to wake up at 4 in the morning because they have to drive trucks from here to Boston and back.  They will have to plan on when they go to sleep this way they get enough rest because the human body needs at least 5 hours sleep other wise it cannot function properly.  When I think to getting up in the morning, especially if it's really early, I always think to myself if I am going to get enough sleep.  Because if I don't, that worries me.  I would feel as if I should return back to my comfortable bed with my soft "down" pillow and conk out as if I would in the night time.  You should actually take 15 minute naps during the day, but nobody has time for naps anymore.  Naps even sound babyish but it's true.  If you gave your body rest a couple times out of the day, you would feel more alert and awake.  Well anyway I have to get up early myself tomorrow therefore I should be getting to sleep. Shoot, I am only going to get 6 hours sleep.  Wish I could have gotten more!
